I am a Dork (lol)

2 funny things from the Ski/Snowboarding Trip to Sugarbush last weekend I totally forgot about:

  • On the drive back, I was enjoying the scenery out the bus window (without my glasses on) & spotted what I thought was a bear. I didn't realize how loudly I said, "Look, a BEAR!" until someone said back, "That's a cow!" & the whole bus roared with laughter lol. Mind you, I only knew 5 of the 50 people on that bus lol. Doh!
  • The guy who organized the trip had a bunch of snacks for people to take @the front of the bus. On my way back in from a break, I stopped to grab a Rice Krispy treat & overheard a girl I didn't know say she wanted one, too. So I thought I'd be nice & ask her if she wanted me to get it for her, to which she nodded & proceeded to hold out her hands above her head implying she meant for me to throw it to her. So I said, "Go long!" & then wound up throwing it too hard ... & hitting the girl behind her in the face! lol Doh! Everyone was cracking up (once again, I don't know these people! lol) & the girl I hit was NOT happy, even though I apologized profusely lol!

So like the subject line sez: I am a Dork! lol

Speaking of the trip, I am totally obsessed w/snowboarding now lol. I'm thinking if I have a good time @my next trip next wknd, I may do a snowboarding camp @Whistler over the summer. Obsessed I tell you!! lol

LOL nice! are you thinking of doing Camp of Champions in Whistler? i went to High Cascade Snowboard Camp a few summers ago up in Mt Hood, Oregon. it was hella fun and met a lot of awesome people. the only thing i would say is that these camps focus on freestyle riding...meaning you will learn how to go off jumps, hit a super halfpipe, and ride the rails in the terrain park. so you need to be at least comfortable with riding on more advanced trails. at mt hood, we went to the top and had to ride down a black trail just to get to the camp area. at whistler, the camp is on blackcomb glacier. the glacier is rated black diamond. so i would suggest getting more comfortable riding first and really getting the hang of it because these camps are pretty pricey and i think you would get more out of it. it is an awesome experience though!
